Leadership Summit 2023: Church Builders

Matthew 16:18 – “upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

Jesus is building His Church and we are His co-laborers. In the Apostle Paul’s words: “We are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building… But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 3:9-11 NIV).

The Church is flesh and blood! We ARE the Church of which Jesus Christ is the Chief Cornerstone. Building the Church is to be our priority – not a physical structure, but a living, breathing organism. 1 Peter 2:5 calls us “living stones that God is building into His spiritual house” (NLT).

The Church – the Kingdom of Light – has always been a threat to the kingdom of darkness. The enemy’s strategy is to deceive and divide the saints in an effort to thwart the growth and strength of the unified church. But God’s Word will NEVER fail! Jesus declared that “the gates of hell will not prevail against the Church!”
